About the Plugin
El Clapo is the first in a series of samples designed to make it simple to create clap tracks of any size. From a single clap to an entire crowd, you determine how the claps sound.
Realistic Claps
You determine the group size. You determine how sloppy they are. You control the microphone mix. We sampled multiple clappers at multiple layers and a bunch of round robins, from 3 different mic perspectives. The result is natural sounding claps no matter how large the crowd.
Built in Step Sequencer
Control with MIDI or the built in step sequencer that lets you automate between 12 user created patterns.
Let’s Hear it
I can only talk about claps so much. Here are some examples of what it sounds like in context.
Rock Anthem
Corporate hipster song

very nice claps, but when will it worked natively on M1/2/3, VST 3? I get no answer from the support, so I have to ask this way.

I want to amend my previous post saying this will work natively on M1 Macs. It does on Studio One because of this development I found on the Presonus website. I wasn’t aware that Apple had done this. Sorry –
AU Plug-ins: Apple has developed a bridge that allows you to run AU plug-ins in Rosetta mode, if the host application is running in native Apple Silicon mode. One solution would be to use the AU version of your plug-ins if you do not want to run Studio One in Rosetta mode in order to take advantage of the native Apple Silicon mode. If you do want to run Studio One in Rosetta mode, to continue using any VST2 or VST3 plug-ins that might not natively support the Apple Silicon chip, please follow the instructions below…

Oh thank God somebody made this! Stop searching for claps and just buy this. Attention Boz – this does work natively on Mac M1 as an AU, so you should remove that disclaimer posted on the product page. Excellent work.

It claps! You can do single claps or a million claps in unison(-ish). It’s a pretty straightforward instrument and it works.

Cool plugin. I found it good for ghost clappings. Would be nice to have precet section in sequencer and possibility to select nomber of steps.

El Crappo.
v1.1.5 crashes after less than a minute of use.
It’s shite.

Amazing plugin: looking like toy, but the quality of sound is unbeatable and possibilities for different timbre and sound environment creation … just perfect!

This is brilliant! Great sounding claps in an easy to use package. I’ve used it on two songs already and it sounds perfect. Cheers Boz!

Such an amazing plugin. Makes life easier and sounds stellar. I wasn’t going to buy any more plugins this year but this one was too good to pass up. No more searching for claps, just open this and dial in whatever the song needs. Clap quality is as good or better than anything else I have and the convenience is unbeatable. I’m reclaiming hours of my life. Thank you!

Never thought I would hear myself say “I’m glad I got the clap” but hey, it’s 2020. Seriously cool plugin…thanks!

Brilliant! Genius! Just dropped it into an existing project and got instant hand clap mojo. I think this is going to fill a long standing gap in my arsenal. Good work Boz! Thanks 🙂

I love all Boz stuff – all really useful. I haven’t even bust El Clapo open yet but am 100% confident I’ll love it.
I’m mainly writing this review to give 5 stars to the title of “corporate hipster” demo song. It really made me laugh when I read that title and then heard the piece.
Given your demo video I am now wishing that it was called “The Clap”!
